Disregard, Delay, Delegate or Do – a great way for organising your life?
OK, it is a bastardised version of a system for helping manage your email, but when you are busy it is a great way to prioritise and balance what is important and what is urgent.
Disregard is Delete if you are applying this to email. Some versions include defer, some include respond but in my simple world those are just Delay and Do by another name.
Some leave out Delay, but sometimes delaying is really powerful, why rush when you know the answer will come to light in a couple of days, or better still the problem might just go away.
Looking around the web I even found one system for managing to do lists which has 7Ds, sweet aliteration I think you’ll find!
